The Cross-Platform Social Media Strategy for 2026

Being everywhere isn't about posting more. It's about distributing smarter. Here's a strategy for building a meaningful presence across multiple platforms without burning out.

The Hub-and-Spoke Model

Choose one platform as your hub — the place where you invest the most in original, long-form content. Everything else is a spoke — platforms where you distribute adapted or condensed versions of that hub content.

Hub options: Long-form blog (content goes everywhere from here), LinkedIn long-form (adapted to short for other platforms), YouTube (clips distributed across social), Podcast (quotes and insights distributed to all text platforms).

Spoke options: X/Bluesky (short insights), TikTok (video clips or text clips), Discord/Telegram (community updates), Mastodon (open social), LinkedIn (if not your hub).

The Distribution System

When you publish to your hub, you extract and distribute to your spokes. You're not creating new content for each spoke — you're reformatting and adapting the hub content.
