What it actually looks like to bootstrap a tech company while working a deli job.
I work at a Walmart deli.
Tuesday through Friday, 1pm–10pm. Slicing meat, stocking cases, running a department.
I come home, sit down at my desktop, and build.
Not because I have to. Because I refuse to let the life I want stay a vision.
SocialMate started because I couldn't find a social media tool I could afford. $99/month for scheduling software. $200/month for AI content tools. $300/month for analytics. All of it gated, all of it telling people like me: "This isn't for you."
I didn't accept that.
I'd never shipped a software product. I'd never raised money. I had no co-founder. I had no runway.
SocialMate launched on March 26, 2026. I built it in nights and weekends. It supports Bluesky, Mastodon, Discord, Telegram, and X/Twitter. It has AI tools, team collaboration, a creator marketplace, a trading bot, and a weekly content generation system.
It is 100% bootstrapped. I own 100% of it.
The tools exist. The price is $5. Anyone can use them.
Power to the people. Build the door.
